Breakfast & Pies

time check: 7:30 am

Every weekend, I gravitate to enriching my breakfast stories. I would fill in my 5-day work week corporate zombieness with dreams of yet another Saturday and/or Sunday of leisurely breakfast. These weekend mornings of bacon and wheat bread and sunny side ups and hot chocolate drink are the light at the end of my tunnel, "my" calm after the storm, my sunshine after the rain, the wind beneath my wings (WTH? Haha!). I sort of have announced  to all that matter to me my head-over-heelness about my breakfast adventures that I get recommendations from wonderful friends about equally wonderful restaurants which serve nothing else but all the breakfast love in the world!

Last Saturday, just 3 weeks (more or less) from its birth, we had a lovely breakfast experience in Breakfast and Pies in Teacher's Village.

Good Points:

(1) they open at 7 am
(2) they are in Quezon City. Hello Neighbors!
(3) the 6-minute boiled egg - and I always thought it takes 7 minutes to achieve boiled egg perfection.
(4) wooden bowl. Or plate.
(5) simply beautiful interiors
(6) bread and pies within reach
(7) the cookie jars

My list can go on and on and on like Celine Dion in Titanic (only that she wasn't in Titanic - haha!) but in summary, I LOVE IT!!

oh breakfast love top to bottom

(1) a cup of coffee
hot, up and about!

(2) kitayama wagyu beef sirloin tapa
served with garlic kimchi fried rice, six minute egg and atchara

ooohhh!! i should be swooning over the yummy beef but the six minute egg
just did it for us - boiled to perfection

(3) beef belly corned beef belly
served with herbed garlic fried rice, double sunny side up, sliced/hash beef

simu't sarap! i prefer that it be saltier though.

(4) banana nutella waffle
for the little boy who is crazy over anything sweet

(5) the lovely breakfast spread

Good Morning!!

All Sunshiny,
Tina
